    Computer Storage Problem....Please help!!!

    Hi

I've got an Acer laptop which I bought about two years ago. It has two hard-drives of 32.5GB in size. My problem is that everything automatically is stored on hard-drive C and it is now becoming full, however I have a lot of space on hard-drive D. Everytime the computer tries to install updates etc it is unable to due to lack of storage. I've tried removing software which was on the laptop as standard and that I never use but have removed as much as I can now.

Could someone please tell me how to either:

    - easily transfer stored items from the C drive onto the D

    - change the default storage drive from C to D

I'm sure this is probably quite a common problem with these types of hard-drive unfortunately I'm not that clued up on computers and their complexities! - and the last thing I want to do is delete some essential software or driver and nacker the computer!!! I'd appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    L
