    Re: cant get credit!

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!... (see I can write in shouting text too!)

Huckster has taken the time and energy to read your post and provide advice on your situation with the information that you provided.

You have stated that you have been making payments which were not covering the interest and that your student loan causing you to go into arrears, from this Huckster has assumed that you did not have additional funds to pay more against your debts to avoid arrears as otherwise wouldn't you have done this?

Regardless of not knowing they didn't cover the required amount if you did want to pay your debt off, wouldn't you have been making additional payments?

Paying them only the minimum wouldn't help you do this, but would help you avoid any late payment penalties and loss of any discounted deals.

I can afford a loan!!!!!!!! Thankyou very much Mr judgemental !!! i havent missed any payments! ... <cut>... so i am learning an expensive mistake! its got nothin to do wth not been able to afford a loan!

Dont bother writing back to reply to me cos i dont wanna hear anything you have to say as you have NOT HELPED me in any way attall or given me any adivce tha i didnt already know! .... <Cut out rant here>

Hucksters statement wasn't a judgment but advice about avoiding the vicious circle of debt. Most advice that you will (or have already) read will say that it is advisable not to get into further debt (new loans etc) to get out of debt. (there are some cases where this can work, with careful planning, dedicated budgeting and regular monitoring)

You have assumed that the reason for not being able to get another loan was because of your arrears and charges.

Have you asked the lender that rejected your application? Did they tell you to get a copy of your credit report? Did you check it to see what it says about your credit worthiness?

You have stated (as we all know) that it is more difficult to get credit, and one of the main areas is on affordability. When assessing if you can afford the new loan, they look at how you have managed your credit, your income and potential outgoings. They may also take a worst case view, where they (the lender) assume that you would be continuing to pay your credit card and student loan and the new loan at the same time and assess if you could afford this.

If you also do the same worst case view and it is possible, then the problem most likely lies in your credit report.

    .

It is good that you already knew to read the articles and advice that Huckster has gone to the trouble of posting, but why didn't you say in your post that you already sought advice and that you determined that a loan was the right way forward, so that we didn't give you advice you already knew?

At no point in your post to you give specifics about the debt, the lenders, the payments, or the interest rates.

This detail may also help others give you advice.

keep your stupid opinions to yourself and GET A LIFE! have you got nothing better to do than put others down and be PATRIONISING!!!!!

    GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Have you taken any time to read any of the other posts or contributions on this community? Have you noticed how many points are next to Huckster's name?

He has given lots of people like yourself lots of good advice and has not been judgmental in any of the posts.

Unfortunately your attitude (in only your second post on this community) will not endear others to give you advice, at the risk of you misreading it.
