Do I need a licence?
You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.
This was on the tv licence site. Martha, do you not get board reading and not watching a good movie? although i'm tied up all day working then going on the internet and sorting paperwork out, I like to have backround noise in my home. I either have the tv on in which i don't watch as much during the day as i do my book keeping ect, working from home, but i like to think i can hear the redio or tv. Keeps me informed of whats going on in the word.
I haven't seen anything about radio's yet but i will look into it.
Also as i lead a busy life, the reason i mainly went to the tv licence site was to see if i could pay my tv licence on the online banking instead, well hummmmm there only allow Loyds TSB to do online banking at the moment,,, thats no good for me, (diffrent bank)
I pay every thing on line these days,,, saves standing in a queue. huuuuummm
