Well if I headed down that road there isn't much they could do surely? I am offering to pay it back... Just thought it might be at a high number. like £200 and was panicing before of course I have everything else to pay for. Not to mention joining the student life.

 Well, not that I mind money being given... but it's just another mistake made recently by The Bank Of Scotland.

Been trying to open a current account unsuccessfully for awhile now. It was accepted no problems... just haven't got past that stage. One excuse after another on why it was completely processed - network error, operator error, ID check....

Then finally stated I need to credit the account with £100. "No problem" i say.... they do so on my behalf... and what happens? Very similar to the orginal topic.... transfer it to someone else's account!!!
