Hello all.

Was wondering if I could have some assistance on the problem below.

Recently I opened an ISA Savings Account with a trasfer of of X amount to start things off. However shortly after there was a second transfer of £2500 into the account.

Currently at the moment I am relocating cities and joining uni. I am expecting money from a family member of around that amount (dependant on how much the shares are sold for) to me paid into that account.

So the weeks went on and I transfered part of it into my current account to pay for my deposit on my flat ect ect. Now I spent just shy of 700 and left the rest there to support me while being in uni.

6 and a half weeks after the transfer I receive a letter from the bank stating that there was an error and a 3rd party transfered money into my account. They removed the remaining balance and now wish to receive the outstanding £675.

 As this was no my fault - completely bank error - and they took so long to notice the error, what are my options?

If anyone could assist, that would be great.
