Hello there,
Most of the major insurers that we use will look to postpone any application until after a longer period than you have stated. There is one company however that we have managed to get cover through before in similarly circumstances called Partnership. They deal with what is considered higher risk insurance cases. As I'm sure you can appreciate, although you are fine now, medically you will be deemed to be at a higher risk than someone who had never had the condition.
You will find that the premiums will be inflated to accomodate for the extra risk factor and it would be very difficult to give you even an indicative quote without going through further medical questions. If you need help with this feel free to drop me a message, otherwise you can go through a high risk insurance company direct.
I hope this helps anyway. Adam.
