I am looking for some advice. I am 20 years old and in full time employment at the moment. I am moving to a new city very soon, renting a flat with my friend & looking to get in to college & find a part time job.

My parents have always helped me with money and this time I want to do it on my own. What is the smallest loan amount available? I am hoping to loan £1500 - £2000, over 2 - 3 years. I have already browsed the money/loan comparison chart and found some very reasonable rates or so I think. As I am only 20 years old, I know my parents will not be pleased that I am going to take out a loan, they will think I will end up not being able to pay it off and it'll spiral out of control. I don't fancy upping my overdraft on my bank account as they change the charges willy nilly.
