I had a phonecall today, I didn't quite catch who it was but think it may of been a solicitor for 3G. I did have a 3G phone some years ago but to my knowledge it was paid up. I have had my present phone very close to 5 yearsso it was definately before then.

The lady on the phone wanted me to confirm who I was by giving her my details, I cottened on pretty quickly that it wouldn't be the best of ideas to do that so I quite calmly said sorry but I can't confirm any details, at that she got arsey and said they would write to me.

Admittedly my life 5 years ago was a bit of a blurr after a seperation/divorce followed and ill health and depression etc so I can't honestly say I definately don't owe anything, however this is the first I acknowledge any mention of 3G and a debt. I did have a few debts which I still have. I am in no better a financial situation as I was then other than now I get DLA for my disabilities, but this is to improve my quality of life not to line the pocket of debtors.

I will quite happily make an effort to contribute a token payment towards any debts that are proved to be mine as I do believe in paying back what you owe, I am just in no state to start fighting battles over pennies as my health problems don't allow my memory to keep everything in its rightful place.

Anyway, why I have posted really is to just ask if this debt can be enforced after so long and what kind of a letter should I expect? if anyone knows. I have coppied a template letter off here in preperation of their letter needing the "prove it" response but is there any other advice anyone would give me?
