I've been reading these forums a lot over the past few weeks and have now registered as a last resort.

I am 18 years old and have no previous credit history.

I work for Barclaycard Commercial, and am taking home basic of £700 a month + overtime (average £100), I have worked there nearly a year now.

I am looking to buy a car, and am in need of £4000. im not one of those 'typical students' thats maxes out all their credit cards, etc... i manage my accounts very well, and only use my debit card. at work i sit near collections, and i can see the difficulties some people get into, i have learnt a lot working here.

I did the sensible thing and applied with my bank (barclays) but was instantly declined by the system as i have no previous credit. I do not have anyone that can act as a guarunee etc...

I can afford to pay about £200 per month for the loan, i have worked out all figures including insurance, fuel, maintainence etc... and i would rather pay this over 2/3 years.

PLEASE CAN ANYBODY HELP ME FIND A LENDER, i do not want to apply all over the place, or through brokers as multiple searches will obviously show on my credit file. i was going to try welcome finance, but there website is under construction, and ive read lots of negative things about them on here and elsewhere regarding their practices and current financial position.

I understand that being 18, i am probably HIGH RISK, but i believe i am a risk worth taking for any lender and would have no difficulty repaying the loan.
