    Hi,

     My mum was having problems with TalkTalk, and their apparent blocking of games over the internet at peak times.

    The one thing that i would suggest above all others is to write very strongly worded letters to the highest person you can within TalkTalk, and copy them, with a covering letter, to OFCOM, explaining all the troubles you have had. If this doesn't provoke a positive response, i don't know what will.

    Talk Talk Arghhhhhhhhh

    I have been a talk talk customer for over a year now and up until 2 months ago I didn't have any problems with them......Until as I said two months ago when there was a problem with the exchange in my area.....I lost both the phone and the broadband for 2 days....contacted them at least 4 times that weekend passed from one country to the next and was told it would be sorted out in 24 hours which it wasn't....I was told that I could now recieve a new modem which was better than the one I had and that that would be with me within 3 days. Well the lines were reconnected and I was also sent my new modem which I installed after uninstalling the old one and since then I have not had a stable internet connection for 2 months everytime I try and use the internet the connection drops....So I called talk talk and tried everything that they told me to do...wait for 24 hours go and get a new splitter thing the thing that splits the phone line in two( i am a woman and have forgotten the name of it) that was at my exspense lucky me nothing worked after 4 weeks and numerous phone calls to them I was still no further forward or to getting the problem resolved....yet they have taken my money each month surprise surprise....Well I got so fed up with them that the next time I called I told them that I was cancelling my account and writing letters of complaints about their service to anyone who would listen you know what I mean...I was told that it was now the modem and that a new one had been ordered for me and should be with me within 3 working days well that came and went called again to be told it can take up to 7 working days to arrive great I still don't have a reliable internet connection...but what do they care they don't...Well that was 4 weeks ago and I am still waiting I want to change from them but am in an 18 month contract which doesn't expire until January of next year...I feel that I should be allowed to as they have not once in the last 2 months done anything that they said they would I am fed up with phoning them and getting nowhere so do I leave and get fined can they get away with that as they are not providing the service or doing what they say or do I stay until Jan with no internet I have to use my friends computer if I want to do anything as mine is so unstable.....and then leave when they can't threaten me with fines....I would not advise that anyone use them I used to work in customer service so I know what customers should expect and talk talk do not deliver they are as bad as NTL used to be before virgin took over their customer service is disgusting that's what happens when you take your call centres out of the UK these people in India and South Africa and where ever else talk  talk have call centres do not care they don't live here so why should they bother........

    Take my advice and give talk talk a wide birth they are not worth the aggrevation....
