pet insurance and car insurance for up to 6 months abroad

I am hoping to go to france travelling in a caravan for 6 months with my 2 dogs. Does anyone know how I get insurance for the dogs and the car as everyone I have tried only does 21 to 30 days holiday cover.

Ps I am not over 50 (if I was it would be no probs for the dogs)

    Hi

There will be very few UK insurers who will help - you might need to obtain cover when you're out there. Only advice would be to try the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) who might be able to help.

I have just been offered insurance for Accidental damage fire and theft for the car but it no good as I must have 3rd party liability. This is now doing my head in someone out there must have gon travelling to france by car for more than 30 days surely.

That sounds like it includes the 3rd party liability - I can't imagine them offering a product that didn't have the 3rd party liability as this is the basics.

It also sounds like it is fully comp, as they have quoted you on Accidental Damage as opposed to just Fire and Theft.
