Hi -- Put it all in writing detailing the agreement made and the person it was made with, date, time roughly and the persons present including your Daughter, the car involved and the deposit amount, then both sign the letter and take it to the Manager at the Stealership, asking for the return of your deposit to be immediately credited back to your CC account, if he agrees get it in writing.
If he does not agree to this then inform him you will have no choice, but to start a chargeback claim with your credt card co, by sending them a signed copy of the letter from both yourself and your Daughter, if this does not do the trick then carry out the threat by asking your CC for a form to start the recovery of your money, you are lucky that you used your CC as they have obligations to investigate and return your money, if you have been unfairly treated and lied to and you can show a breach of contract has taken place, which it seems you are able to do in this case.
Incidentally the fact that the receipt says no refunds does not matter, that will be a standard receipt for general use, and can not legally overide the verbal agreement that has been made and witnessed.
Good luck, let us know how you get on.
