Re: Family Holiday insurance husband 65

    Hi.

You might find that American Express will give you the cover you require as they cater for the American population who enjoy travelling up to ` a great age`. I obtained cover for my dad when he was 85 and wanted to go to Lanzarote.

If your husband is `up to 65` they will offer cover for a family too. Go to their site and see what they offer Have a good holiday ! M

Thanks but have already got it sorted with Direct Holiday Insurance as they don't count someone as "senior" until reach 66.

Have you tried MS INSURANCE calculator above? Also you could try phoning a broker like Budget/Endsleigh/Swinton and in the unlikely event they can't help put a search term into Google like 'family travel insurance' 'specialist in family travel insurance'.

    Family Holiday insurance husband 65

My husband and I plus our 4 children are going to Lanzarote in July for a family holiday for 2 weeks. Our children are aged 18, 16, 15, and 14. My husband is now aged 65 and we are finding it difficult to get a suitable travel insurance policy. We would need cancellation cover of £6500.  I already have an annual multi-trip policy with Primary Insurance for trips within UK/Europe.

Our daughter aged 16 is also going to Spain for 10 days in the summer for a Duke of Edinburgh expedition and needs insurance cover for that trip though I could arrange single trip cover for her.

Can anyone suggest an insurer for our family holiday?

    Thanks
