They wont disconnect you as long as, when they do contact you, you can come to a suitable payment arrangement.

Have you looked at the meter, taken readings and noted any reference numbers there?

One thing that some suppliers do in these situations is to use a high tariff to calculate the bill. In my view it is worthwhile trying to contact the supplier before they contact you.

I have been living in my property for 6 months, no electric bill. called the main supplier for the area and also meter point, I dont exist. There is no record of my property or even the original plot numbers!! My question is.... What should I do to ensure that I dont end up with a big bill? What is considered appropriate chasing from a back billing point of view?? I am guessing I should write to the main supplier for my area asking who is my supplier and then sit tight.... If they come back then great, my opinion is they wont as when I have spoke to them they seem clueless to my property and keep passing me on to other bodies. My worry is getting a large bill in the future.... Any thoughts??? How far can they back bill if I do nothing else?? Will they shut my power off, is this likely??
