The solar market is in chaos because the government is trying to reduce the amount of money it pays to people. People were tempted into investing in Solar because of the financial incentives. However, as these may change, the value of solar 'investment' is extremely volatile.

So in addition to the issue raised by our dear Daily Mail, I think that the solar power industry is in danger of becoming extinct.

Just thought I would post this Daily Mail article, which includes a warning from RICS about buying a house that has been fitted with free solar panels under a contract. Can cause a problem for any prospective buyers obtaining a mortgage to buy a house with solar panels fitted under contract that could last up to 25 years.

RICS has advised its surveyors to warn house hunters to take special legal advice on any property fitted with free solar panels before committing to buy.
