    You might want to find out if you can pay the loan using a credit card first

    It would be a purchase. A balance transfer is where you transfer the balance from one card onto another.

    ok am extremely clueless with these sort of things, would it be a balance transfer or a purchase?

    That would depend on the interest rate on the credit card. If it's a 0% card, go for it!

    I have a loan for a laptop which I'm paying 26.6 percent interest on, would I be better of paying this off onto a credit card and then paying that off? Any suggestions greatfully recieved.
