We recently received a No Claims Discount letter of proof from our previous insurer as we have renewed with a different provider.
The only claim we have made in recent years, was for a new windscreen (12 months ago) which I thought didn't impact on your no claims discount. The last claim, prior to this, was approx. 9-10 years ago.
However, the letter states that while we have a NCD representing 9 years apparently this equates to 0%. Why?
The exact wording on the letter is as follows: We confirm that the above numbered policy expired on xxxx 2012 with a No Claims Discount of 0% representing 9 years.
The problem I have is understanding why it's 0%? Obviously I intend telephoning them as it may be a misprint. But, in the meantime, I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this.
Regards - Shaun.
