    Re: Opt-out option during quote

To add to exterminator's excellent advice about phone numbers......also I have set up a webmail address specifically for things like insurance quotes; if it gets bombarded with spam (which normally happens after dealing with these websites) then I can set up junk rules easily to avoid my personal email addy being polluted.

They are usually near the bottom of the last page near where you click, 'get quotes'. There's three tiny marketing boxes that you need to untick i.e. by email, by telephone and by post.

I also substitute all the digits of my telephone number by using only zero's in the contact information as I fill in the quotation details, i.e. 00000000000 .........that guarantees the phone stays quiet !

You can go back into the unfinished quote and replace your tel number with just Zero digits of no value.

    Opt-out option during quote

Could someone please let me know where the marketing opt-out option is available during the online quote process for Car Insurance. I get to the last step where I have to click to display the quotes but I am reluctant to do this without first deselecting an opt out option as I don't want to be inundated with phone calls.

    Many thanks
