    Re: loan wanted and advice?

Thanks Zeb for your advice. I have asked for £1000 as that is what my overdraft is for the account I want too close. It comes up on the system on there affordability I can get it...however I am referred and refused. They say check your credit report. The only bad thing on my report like I said is that I am using 83% of available credit available which is going down each month. However it would go down a bit more If I were to be approved for a loan.I didnt know whether to carry on what I'm doing and then reapply in 6months or if there is repuatable loan company out there? I don't really want to go down the route of having interest froze as don't wan't that damage in the future as can afford what I'm paying at the moment comfortably even on a low income.

    Thanks

    Re: loan wanted and advice?

I am afraid that the way the bank has to look at it is that in order to consolidate the debt you have to first borrow more money and it is this total of the new loan and the debt to be consolidated that it likely too much for your risk profile and this is why they have said no. It doesn't matter that you are planning to to pay one debt weith the other, the fact is you have to double your borrowing in order to do this...even if only very short term.

Speak to your bank and see if they can let you borrow a smaller amount, if you can then use this to put your debt plan into action then you may be able to borrow the remainer of what you need later down the line when you have cleared some of the existing debt.

    Good Luck

    Re: loan wanted and advice?

I have done this and im not legible for a loan with my bank at the moment. They see it as taking on more debt.Even though I will cancel another account in front of them and free up a extra £30/£40 per month if I was to be paying £70 for a high street loan. The people I speak to at the bank totally understand where I'm coming from its just the people who it gets referred too.... I guess thats the climate we are in? Anyonelse in a similar situation?

    Thanks for the reply

    loan wanted and advice?

Anybody know of any loan which can help?

Currently I have experian score of 725 but due due to being a wild student I have a couple of credit cards and couple of overdrafts totally up to 6000. Currently I pay one account £100 into one account and make slightly over minimum payments on various others.I need a loan to consolidate some if not just to close one account ie the one I pay £100 into as this will free up a extra £30/£40 to put towards another account. I have no defaults or miss payments,or anything its just a case of using to big of proportion of credit available. Can anyone advise me or reccomend a company??

    Thanks in advance :)
