    Re: Young driver-HELP!

Unless you have money to burn, it might be worth leaving it a few years. You could be looking at a premium of £3000 +

The cars you should look for are those with small engines 1.0 or less. Google 'cheapest cars to insure for young driver' and you will find lists on various sites.

It is important that if the car is yours that the Insurance is in your name. Adding older drivers e.g mum, dad, can help to reduce the premium.

If you are a learner driver, look for a learner drivers Insurance policy e.g collingwood learners. Once you have passed your test, you then arrange a normal car Insurance elsewhere. When you look for an normal policy, phone around Insurance brokers to find out the best Insurance for you. Sometimes brokers can find better deals that you can obtain online.
