Shot in the dark but as you are a homeowner and still appear to have a reasonable credit record, it may be worth giving Zopa loans a try. They decide which band of interest you will be placed into dependent upon the risk you are perceived as.

    Loan advice - please

So i've got a credit score of 475 (only just in the 'excellent' braket according to Equifax) I've been with my bank for 7 years, am on the electoral roll, but at my current address for less than 3 years. Although can demonstrate/prove previous addresses with historic electoral roll entries. I can also demonstrate 0 missed or late payments for the last 6 years. IMHO on paper i look like a good bet for credit, but apparently as i have got 0 available credit i can't get more...which makes sense, but i am looking to consolidate 6 payments into one, and essentially save money.

Having bought a house in September 2010 i've got my credit cards pretty much maxxed out (approx £5500 across 5 cards) and an overdraft of £3000. The cost of this debt is about £250 per month, making minimum payments on the cards and interest charges of approx £45 on the overdraft every month.

Clearly it would be better for me from a financial point of view to consolidate this debt, and having done a little research i can see that there are loans out there, over 5 years, that would save me £80 + a month, but my bank won't give me a loan, and i don't really know where else to go. If the interest rates go much over the 8 - 10% then the monthly payments do not save me as much money as i would like.

Can anybody recommend a loan company that would perhaps be of use to me?
