But unfortunately I have checked my Vehicle registration document, and the details are correct. I am not sure if the insurance companies use the DVLA database or its carried out by a third party company.

Pretty sure that it is DVLA that you need to contact. When a car is first registered by the dealer/manufacturers they send the info over to DVLA. Everybody that can identify your car details using the reg no obtain it via the DVLA, so if it is wrong then you need to correct it at source. Even after you have corrected it, it may take some time before Insurers etc have the up to date info.

When i put my details into the "find my vehicle" box, it comes up with the wrong trim level and engine type. Not a big thing i know but its really annoying trying to get quotes and purchasing online since to get the correct details I have to go through the "I don't know the registration" box, then i have to call the company to give them the correct details against my reg plate.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the details for my car changed?
