My opinion is that you should compare convenience, cost and service when deciding rather than whether the money comes from your bank, payslip or a monthly statement.

I will soon be staring a new career as Cabin Crew for British Airways. I am looking at ways of self-funding whilst away on trips and I don't wish to use the company's own method of funding as this is taken directly from my salary - hence resulting in a lower monthly salary. I also don't want to apply for a credit card. I'm looking at pre-paid cards which I can fund myself for use abroad. The locations I'll be in frequently will be Europe and the USA. I'm looking at the Travelex Globe card - this seems to be one of the only cards that you can load GBP for use with any currency worldwide. Does anyone have any tips or advice as to whether this would be a good idea for me? Many thanks.
