The agent doesn't care as long as he keeps the commission.

But here is the problem, you've already gone bankrupt in the (recent) past, and you are having to borrow money to pay the basic things like rent.

You are already back on the road to disaster, you are not living within your means. Time to get real.

Advice? Moneyservice will tell you the same thing, you are spending more than you earn.

My advice, get out of the apartment and either move back with parents, or rent a cheap room and start saving.

Hi, thanks for the imfo, I have just spoke to the estate agent and told him my situation, I have made an offer of payment which will take 8 months to clear the 2 months rent, he seemed quite happy with it, but said he will have to speak to the landlord to see what he say,s. I will be getting intouch with moneyservice advice for more help. thanks.

You might be able to get the £49.50 back. First you should dispute the charge with the "broker". Assuming that they wont find you a loan in your present circumstances (i.e. without a guarantor), you are entitled to a refund. If they refuse, you should contact your bank and ask them to start their disputes process to reverse the payment.

It would be best, in my view, to be honest with the estate agent about what has happened as otherwise they will view more dimly the broken promise.

In my view you should not try to borrow money in your circumstances. If you are struggling to pay your rent, even if you could, borrowing £2000 and repaying £3000 will be £1000 wasted and it will mean that your financial problems today will become even greater financial problems in the future. You should do what is necessary to put your finances in order. It may be worth visiting a debt adviser at your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

Hi, can anyone help me with advice, I recently looked at a loan, Loans 4 you got intouch with me, asked all the questions I gave straight forward answers, knowing it would be difficult for me to get a loan because I went bankrupt in 2008. I told the man everything as I didn't want to make things worse than they are, I told him about my credit history, he said that was fine, he asked if I was discharged I said yes. he then gave me a quote for a loan of 2,000. over 5 years at 52.00 a month. I said that was great I could afford that. he then said he would sort out the paper-work that I can download and sign and return it as soon as possible. he said if I did it and sent it back via email it would be quicker, he said I would have the funds in my account by friday. That was great as I was desprate to pay my rent as I was 2 months behind. I did as I was asked. and left it at that. The estate agents phoned me that day and asked about the rent, I said it will be paid in full friday or monday. Friday came I checked my bank account, A payment of 49.50 had been taken from my account to loans 4you, I phoned them and they said I should have been contacted by express loans, yes I was but the loan they offered me was 2,000. with a garantor. I can not get a garantor, it was also a lot more to pay back, so I had to refuse the loan. I feel I was tricked into this set up as he new my poor credit, that I would not be able to get the loan he offered me on the terms and conditions he gave me. he had worked out the loan on a perfect credit score. and I have been ripped off to make my financial needs even worse. Thanks for reading.
