Do I get the same type of buyer protection with a pre-paid card as I would with a regular credit card for buying something on-line?

No. Pre-paid cards are not covered by the cosumer credit act as the customer is not using credit.

Pre-Paid credit cards - Do I get buyer protection?

    Hello all,

I am thinking of signing up to a pre-paid credit card. I will want to use it for mostly on-line purchases. At the moment I just use my debit card or PayPal but I am not happy with the level of buyer protection these two provide.

My question is: Do I get the same type of buyer protection with a pre-paid card as I would with a regular credit card for buying something on-line?

    Many thanks,

    Al
