On the 08/12/11 I ordered a new laptop from Asda Direct and I chose selected day delivery for the 12/12. Today nothing arrived so I called Asda to find out why. After a long wait on hold I was told by the advisor that my order had somehow gotten "stuck" and that I had 2 choices.
1. To cancel my order and wait up to 5 working days for a refund
or
2. To have my order placed in a queue which would more than likley not even be dealt with by Christmas.
Even though the same laptop is available online now to be delivered on wed I was not offered anything further in the way of help. I had to ask if I could re-order it myself online to which she replied "yes you can but it might get stuck again"
I think Asda's lack of any sort of care or customer service is disgusting and people should be aware of this when purchasing from Asda in the run up to Christmas. The advisor told me this is happening to many accounts!
I wonder how many people will be put in the same situation or have been allready?
I have asked for a manager to call me back regarding this but have no faith whatsoever that I will even receive a call.
Rest assured that I will update this post.
14/12. No call back from ASDA as predicted, totally distresssed by lack of any sort of customer care.
Have called again due to no call back and once again was told no manager was available to talk to me. I have been however assured by the advisor this time that if I order again then I should definatley receive it this time. In the meantime im still waiting on my £300 refund and will have to go and shell out another £300 to buy again.
The only reason I am buying this from Asda is that it was the best spec Laptop for the most reasonable price I could find online. Although I am about to go and buy this again I have little faith that this wont happen again.
Given the way Asda have completely failed in any way shape or form to deal with my actual complaint to any satisfactory or even professional conclusion after this I shall never order from Asda again.
Will update this post again to confirm if the second laptop actually arrives.
