Finding reliable tradespeople is not easy but there are diamonds out there in every trade.

Spend the effort sourcing your required expert (who will want to do a good job), hence a long term repair.

British Gas for me has been a nightmare.

    All the best, James.

A lot of these policies are fine to give you piece of mind when things are going well but they are not so great when there's a problem. If you do find a good policy for sorting out problems (rather than just promising) there's a poster here who would probably like to know about it.

I think like this - once they've got your money, there's no reason for them to go the extra mile and my feeling is that your effort would be better spent finding a good plumber.

    Heating Cover Options

    Hi

I have been looking for some heating cover as had a few problems last winter and don't want a bill I can't afford again this year! I was looking at the British Gas HomeCare 200 or 300 but last week had a leaflet through my door from Horsforth Heating, who are offering £99 for a year's cover which includes all my heating and the plumbing too and a boiler service. I read the terms and conditions on the website (www.horsforthheating.co.uk/specialoffer) and I think everything seems ok, so just wondered whether anyone has had any experience with this company and if so what are they like? Cheers.
