Legal expenses cover duplication?

    If I have legal expenses cover (LEC) via my building & contents insurance policy, is this valid for a car insurance policy?

    If so, does this LEC cover all members of the family, should they also have separate car insurance?

    Finally, does this work in reverse? eg if LEC taken out with car insurance, does this cover for the home?
