    Re: NPower complaint

Your first job is to try to establish whether or not you are owed some money. nPower will have taken a final reading from the old meter and you can ask what that was although you cannot check the figure. You can also look at bills and compare usage recorded on the old meter with usage recorded on the new meter. Unless you can find something significant to support the debt, the most you can hope for is a fuller explanation.

    NPower complaint

About 3 months ago NPower had to change our meter as it wasnt clicking over to nights. We then received a letter stating that we had over paid by £2100, after discussions with them this was to be paid to us via our bank account. This never happened and over the last two weeks we have been discussing with them when this will be paid. Two nights ago we had a phone call to state that this had all be sorted and this money would be credited to our bank account the next day.

Today I received a call from them stating that this money was not owed to us, the meter had been chargine wrongly and this now needed to be looked into again. Surely Npower should have checked this sum was owed before even telling us.

Im really cross and dont know what to do next. Has anyone else had anyting like this happen.
