    Yes I would think it could well be nonsense. With the immobiliser codes my understanding is that these can be scanned when the key is operated, so I am not sure how you would do this, unless scanning technology was situation near cars.

    Yes, it's possible to unlock a car by copying the unlock code when someone uses a remote to open the doors but when someone opens the doors, they usually then drive away. It also not possible to copy the immobiliser details that are physically stored on the key itself just be monitoring signals.

    The technology to let parents track children is simply using their mobile phone signal. If kids leave their phones on, it's possible to find out where they are. If they turn the phone off, it isn't.

    This sort of security issue probably appeared in a Hollywood movie about 20 years ago, when most probably thought it was very far fetched.

    A lot of the newest technologies are very clever, but most of us would not have a clue how secure they were. Makes you wonder !!!
