Re: orange broadband cancellation- Please advise about legalities

You should clearly put down in a letter to Orange what has happened. If you don't, they will be able to say in a couple of months that they have no record of the conversations. If you've not paid then you are in a stronger position but you should expect them to get awkward. It's really up to you to decide if you are willing to stand up to them, in court if necessary, or not.

Legally speaking, if you were told something specific like this on the phone, then that is binding. If you record the details in a letter or two and Orange can't produce a contradictory recording or transcript, then a court is likely to see that you are in the right. As I said though, it's possible that Orange will want to get awkward.

orange broadband cancellation- Please advise about legalities

I took orange broadband on 12th July. The service got activated on 19th July. I specifically asked about cooling off period and she clearly advised me that it starts from recieving and activating the router. Now on 25th I rang them to cancel due poor connectivity, the customer service say that there is no cooling off period and I have too pay 150 GBP to come out. I still asked them to disconnect with immediate effect. I am writing a complaint to them. How shall I prove what was mis sold to me by their customer relations representative. How the terms and conditions work. I didnot sign anything is that anything which will help me. Can anyone been in a similar situation help me please.
