I moved home in December 2010 and gave my final reading to Eon and they subsequently took their money from my direct debit. My new home was on a prepayment meter with Southern Electric and I arranged to change it to Eon and to change the prepayment meter to a credit meter, this happened on the 17 February 2011.
I have spoken to Eon every two weeks since then as they keep returning my direct debits which means I do not have any 'savings' to pay my electricity bill, each time they promise "it's ok, I have sorted everything out" and guess what - no they haven't.
Today was the final straw when I received a bill for £1098. I have spoken to them again and they claim it is from my prepayment meter as they have no details of a new meter being fitted despite a meter reader visiting two weeks ago. I again queried my direct debit and was told "yes it is set up", my response is "yes, but you keep returning the money every month".
After a very heated discussion I have given them 10 days from today to sort everything. No other company is able to reduce me to tears and to make my asthma worse but Eon manage it very effectively.
Is there anything else I can do?
