In short, yes you are within your rights to cancel the agreement. The reasons for your cancellation is academic - you can cancel for any reason as you were entering into a 3 party agreement were any of the 3 parties can cancel right up until point of execution (of the agreement, not you).

Sorry to reply to my own post,

Just to add, I was told the agreement would be car finance - HPI, I've just noticed the paper work they have given me suggests "personal loan". This seems a bit of a con to me?

    Cancelling Arnold Clark Order

    Hi All,

After doing some budgetting, and deicing I could afford a new car, I headed down to some dealers, and found a car I liked at Arnold Clark. We initially viewed when it was dull and everything looked good (Last Thursday).

I signed an initial order proposal, and was told to come again the next day. On the next day, I noticed that the car had been in a collision of sorts and needed repaired.

They said they would do this, and to this date I have not signed the "finance documents", nor paid a deposit. The service has been slow, and ill-informed.

Am I within my rights to cancel this order due to poor service?
