    Re: Talk Talk issues

I finally received a response from Talk Talk - I have managed to cancel the upgrade (I hope) and will return to the original (adequate) speeds - why are these things such a pain in the neck to deal with ?

nothing about the Router - still !!

I then received an email - informing me that my free calls package was going too

What can I do about this ?

    This is IMPORTANT.

I think your email about the free calls going is formal notification of an change to your detriment. I fully expect you are entitled to give notice to end the contract immediately without charge.

Under the Telecoms General Licence Conditions it's possible that "no charge" extends to any "free" hardware issued.

How to get "Sales" and "Customer Support" to respond is harder, however what you should do initially is scrutinise the Terms & Conditions for the clause which explains how "customer detriment" can be used to terminate a contract. And what form of contact must be followed to terminate a contract.

    Talk Talk issues

As a long term Nildram customer - when Opal took over my ISP last year - I thought nothing of it

Opal offered me an upgrade (LLU) with faster speeds and unlimited usage and a discounted phone line (£20 + vat per month, all in).

I was told (still have the email) that my 500 minutes of free phone calls would stay as would my current Nildram email address.

I received the free wireless router through the post together with instructions for logging onto my new account myphonenumber@talktalk.business.net - which I do not want people to know my phone number - when I email them

I am not a business - I am a private customer - who wants to keep his current email address

I then received an email - informing me that my free calls package was going too

I have emailed "SALES" as well as "CUSTOMER SUPPORT" but they are not responding

What can I do about this ?
