I think sadly this is due to the platinum deal being one of ScottishPower's first bundle product as they throw in their standard boiler cover which is only available to mains gas boiler customers..I must admit I was tempted as I am on their old fixed price 2011 deal, which has been really good value for money, but this new product doesnt give me their home boiler premium which covers all your pipework too, which i would want covered as I have BG's Homecare 200.. .. I have contacted them and they say this is only the start of their "HomeComfort" range so I guess we have to watch this space..

As one of the catches, the reviewer notes: 'Unfortunately, this deal is not available to Londoners or households in the north of Scotland''. I thought perhaps she might also have mentioned the exclusion of single-fuel applications*, which would make it unavailable to all-electric households, of which there must be quite a few (though I can't find a figure anywhere).

* Quoting from the Product Notes for this deal on the SP website:"A gas or electricity only product is not available".

Are you referring to the DualFuel being the catch? or are you suggesting there was another catch implied ?
