    Re: Mortgage for EU citizen

Yes, if you are an EU citizen you can take on a mortgage as long as you have been in the country for 24 months (I think) . You may also have to show a visa or letter from the home office that says that you have employment for the next 12 months and who it would be with.

If you have a low crdit score then you just have to be able to find a lender that is willing to let you borrow money and based on being a non UK citizen and the likelihood that you will have a small deposit as a first time buyer then the chances will reduce significantly.

Go and speak to a mortgage broker who may be better able to assess the situation and if he think you can gain a mortgage with your credit profile then he should be able to apply for it on your behalf through a suitable lender

    Mortgage for EU citizen

I am a EU citizen and I have been living in the UK for 2 years. Unfortunately I have only a fair credit score and was wondering if I could get a mortgage in the UK? Thank you.
