Re: Npower threatening warrant of entry

    huckster:

Npower and/or their representatives can enter at any time, once they have given notice. They will probably install a prepayment metre and you will have to pay using that method.

You should give NPower a call to discuss this.

Sorry Huckster but ....this is another "ancient" thread revived by "grady" -obviously a new poster who has searched for Npower posts.

Re: Npower threatening warrant of entry

If you they are threatening a warrant of entry then it is presumably for non payment of bills?

regardless of how short a period you are living in this property by using the supply you automatically enter into a deemed contract with the supplier and therefore should be paying for your usage. If you have not registered with them and arranged to do so then they are more than entitled to gain a warrant of entry. Using the supply and not making arrangements to pay for it is theft. it is no different than walking into asda filling your trolley and walking out without paying!

    Npower threatening warrant of entry

Hi, I am living in a house temporarily and I intend to leave the house in 11 weeks. Now I have received a letter from "METERPLUS" who claim to be acting on behalf of Npower. They have issued the previous tenant who owes them money a "NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY FOR WARRANT OF ENTRY" They are currently on remand for something but have said I can live there for 11 weeks as I am currently homeless.

My question is, how quickly can Npower get this warrant to gain entry because they are threatening police officers and locksmiths etc. I have no contact with the landlord and the person on remand hasn't informed the landlord yet that he is in prison. Can they get a warrant quicker than 11 weeks?

    Any advice appreciated
