Re: To buy or not to buy?

It is not normally a good idea to borrow a deposit and some lenders may not accept a borrowed deposit. It might be ok if there is only a small mortgage on the property that you own.

There is no harm in talking through your particular circumstances with an independent mortgage adviser.

To buy or not to buy?

I moved counties last June for a new job. I was unable to sell my property at a reasonable price, so I have become a reluctant landlord. I am now living in private rented property and hate it, I would like to buy, but would need to borrow a deposit and am not sure that I am mortgageable. Is this a good idea, or should I hang on until I can sell my property in a few years?
