    Excellent. It's worth looking at the payment details and cancelling the direct debit after the 12th payment has gone through. You should also contact them more than a month before the 12 months is up to say what you are doing. Often they want the contract to last exactly 12 months or to get 30 days notice after the 12 months to cancel. If you do both, there shouldn't be a problem.

    If you don't want to, you do not need to tell them who you will be switching to but, depending on the service, you may need a MAC code from Virgin to switch.

    You need to find out how long the agreement is for. If it was a 12 month contract, the best time to call would be next month so that you can tell them that you wont be staying with them once the 12 month term has been completed.

    Hi I join Virgin media in July last year and I was wonder when would eb the best time to say I'm leaving VM just to save money idea (no idea what to call it)?

    I don't want to leave VM but I also like saving money so when is the best time to do it? Also wold I need to tell them who I plan on going to?
