Re: BT are messing me about

BBT are a bunch of liars and theiving low lives, whom trap you with the so called ficticious contract. If they have not provided you with the service you have paid for then instead of letting them get away with it, let them send you a bill for ending your contract early. They want money and will lie through their back teeth to keep you and your hard earned money. Log every call and take names and write times down times and dates.

Find another provider, cancel your direct debit as soon as poss. send a detailed letter, ask for any re- inbursements for poor service and unsatisfactory equipment and state that you want to end the contract.

The thing is what ever services they provide and are crap do you want to continue paying BT every month?

Let them send you the bill, you make sure you have another provider lined up and ready. The bill should come after you have ended the so called contract.

Don't communicate with them. keep copies of your detailed complaints etc. Don't pay for anything that was not satisfactory and complained about.

When you receive the nasty letters regarding the bill, offer them £1.00 per month by letter in good faith.

BT have tried to exploit their customers for too long and they'l continue to tell you lies as what proof have you got when you have spoken to all their staff in India and Britain . End your contract so you don't have to deal with them anymore and they won't get your custom.

They will send several engineers, check your lines, send you more equipment and tell you whatever you want to hear.

Re: BT are messing me about

    Thanks twee for the link.
When I check it, it says fault has already been reported. So I don't know if that means they are looking into it or what.
But since I've wrote the top post my broadband has stopped working all together and I can hear other peoples phone calls when I'm on the phone.
But I've told Bt this already and I haven't heard anything back.
I just wish I hadn't got involved with them.

    BT are messing me about

I'm new to this forum and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction or help me out cause no one at Bt will. I've lived in the same house for a year and used toucan broadband for the whole time. about 2 months ago I had a fault with my phoneline which stop working and I got Bt out to fix it, on the day they fixed the phoneline my broadband has fell from 2mbps to 150kbps. When I called Bt to report this fault they blamed toucan. And when I called toucan they blamed Bt. But Bt told me if I took broadband out with them I would have a better chance to get it fixed. I changed my broadband to Bt and guess what, they haven't done anything about it. I have called a dozen times and all I hear is excuses and lies. They have even said that I never got 2mbps in the past. Basically saying that I'm a liar. I live in a big housing estate and every other house gets about 2mbps or higher and I get 150kbps and all Bt say is that my broadband line must come from somewhere different. They just won't listen to me and won't take me seriously. What can I do to sort this out because at the minute there doesn't seem to be anyone who can help me with this.
