No crime, but you said that you've got negative equity and you are loaded. Both can't be true.

maxsteam #" I think that the problem is indeed with the rest of the world."

The problem is the system which allows people to escape/not pay debt and this increases the risk to the lender.

If a debt was tied to a debtor for life the risk would low and everyone would have access to low rate credit.

Instead we have a system where the poorest pay the most to borrow at extortianate rates with huge profits going to the city.

I just want to refloor my home and spread the cost over 5 years at a decent rate, whats my crime.

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die

It does surprise me, with an attitude like that, and being "loaded" (in the money sense?) as well, that banks are not falling over themselves to lend money. I think that the problem is indeed with the rest of the world.

In your first post, you don't really advise what the loan is for. Are you a first time buyer looking to get a mortgage, plus some additional funds for another purpose? Or are you in the process of remortgaging and due to the current property prices do not have any equity in the property?

You have commented that you are young and loaded. Have you paid off the CCJ? If not I would suggest that you do this asap and ask the creditors to note your credit record as fully satisified. You could offer a full and final 'without prejuduce' settlement of the debt, subject to the credit record entry being fully removed. This is the insolvency helpline page on F&F settlements and includes a specimen letter. http://www.insolvencyhelpline.co.uk/debt_factsheets/full_and_final_settlement_offers.php

In regard to the general proposition, I can only suggest that you go to an independent mortgage broker and see what is available. Find using http://www.unbiased.co.uk/

but I am young and loaded.

If that were true, you would not be trying to borrow from others. Or maybe it is true and the problem is that the rest of the world doesn't believe it.

saffronflowers - mse posting 2 How does it affect your credit rating? Your CCJ will appear on your credit file for 6 years (if it takes you more than 6 years to repay the CCJ, the creditor will re-register it with the credit referance agencies. However, your credit rating will already be affected by the fact you have not paid the contractual payments, which has resulted in you receiving a CCJ. Your CCJ won't show on your credit file if you pay it in full within 30 days. If you manage to clear the CCJ within 6 years you can write to the credit reference agencies enclosing a "letter of satisfaction" from the issuing County Court to have the entry marked as "satisfied" on your credit file. This may be useful if you are applying for a mortgage, for example,

Young, loaded, offensive and a positive thinker! Even so 85% is probably about right. I'm not a moron... Why would you think post "apocolypse" that 18% max was in any way realistic? I shudder to ask but are you a moron?

    hi

Anybody know of any lenders doing this.

Only thing I have found is real personal finance unsecured at 85%apr but my personal limit is 15-18%apr max.
