The company that should be able to help you are Entertainment & Leisure. If you google E & L Insurance, you will find they provide cover for musical instruments and should be able to cover you for your trip. There will of course be terms and conditiond applied, so you should make sure your are happy with these.

You should tag, chip or whatever they call it, your guitar. You should also not tell anyone that it is worth a lot of money.

Realistically, if the instrument is going to be at risk (if, for example, you were going to leave it in a tent), you would not get insurance. If the instrument is not going to be at risk (if, for example, you were travelling with a band or orchestra and there was always someone looking after the luggage and instruments), you would not need insurance.

You should consider taking a £100 guitar on the trip if it going to be at risk.

I'm a Taiwanese by nationality. I don't know if I'm qualified as a UK resident but I have been living in UK for 8 years, and am registered with a GP. I'm going on a single trip with my £2500 guitar which I'd like it to be covered by insurance during the trip. I have been searching for hours to find a suitable insurance policy without any luck.
