    Re: Peugeot problems

My first guess is that there are some loose or damaged wires somewhere causing some of the issues that you mention. This problem is difficult to find but easy to fix once found.

You should first try to sort out a resolution along the lines that you mention with the garage. If they wont help, you can contact www.consumerdirect.gov.uk

I would be inclined to ask for a replacement vehicle of similar age and mileage on the grounds that the current vehicle is not fit for purpose.

    Peugeot problems

i purchased a car from peugeot around about 4 months ago. the car was on finance and since then iv had alot of problems and its been back to the dealer 5 times. so far the cars needed a new clutch and flywheel. new locks, keys and ecu, new window switches, alot of headlight bulbs as it keeps blowing them, new cambelt at 34k miles, various other bits and bobs and its always popping up warning lights on the dash. the car is still not right and they cant seem to find the problem so far i have not been charged for any of this after going through peugeot customer care and complaining about the dealership. the car is now making the same noise i was told was a dodgy cambelt so i want to go back in with it. now i am quite sick of this i would like to know where i stand with the sale of goods act. i feel the car is unfit for purpose and also unsafe at times as the car has cut out on me twice on round abouts. i need some advice as to what to say and where i stand and if there is any way i can get them to take the car back and write the debt off.

    regards phill
