As some of the posts state here, you should just go direct to the FOS. You are paying these firms simply to fill out a form for you, it's not good value for money.

robodibly - These people to avoid bad press have now changed their name to Claims Advisory Group so beware

Cheers for the namechange pointer robodibly and the assistance it offers to all who read this thread :

That's one of the very frustrating and annoying typical ways these companies are allowed to move around and freely escape attention or detection, usually well before the hesitant and (selective toothless) authorities have a chance to act or shut them down and prosecute them.

If we were talking about tax avoidance or anything to do with a loss of revenue to the Governments treasury coffers, then all the forces in Hell would be unleashed to shut them down more or less the same day the illicit activity was discovered. Then the clawback of all the money plus costs with harsh fines would efficiently pursue...followed by the near hanging, drawing and quartering of the people behind the scenes, especially the directors who are behind the instigation, operation and running of these so called companies. In this situation there would in fact be nowhere left for them to hide, nowhere to run to.. or any forms of crafty evasive actions that would be overlooked by the authorities, in bringing the full forces of justice to bear on the culprits involved under those circumstances.

Isn't it extraordinarily strange how such a disparity is allowed to exist between the above, opposed to the generally relaxed stance taken towards the treatment of 'joe public' before any actions or investigations are started. Meanwhile the public have to endure these companies being able to shut up shop, move, or simply change trading names and reinvent themselves somewhere-else in order to escape the authorities and continue to ply their repulsive and disgusting trade, [affecting] innocent individuals whom are least in the position of being able to afford any such loss taking place relatively unchecked..

Why are these companies not compulsorily required to belong and be registered to a strictly enforced nationally recognised respectable governing body, that issues a licence and can refuse to allow name changes, or any change of operational abilities etc etc in order to escape evade or avoid their liabilities, or their answerability and responsibility that they most definitely owe to the public.?

Come on you new Coalition Government...prove to the public the meaning of the old saying, "a new broom sweeps twice as clean". Shut these misery causing firms down with immediate effect..and show the public you mean business and you are in power for the benefit and the protection of the people whom you are supposed to represent. !!!

Thank you very much for your response. I had basically reached this decision myself but was hoping they were above board. There are so many out there just waiting to punch on gullible people it is a sad world we live in.

Re: Claims Group Direct PPI claimback

Place, "claims group direct" into Google..there are numerous negative comments from others, at the very bottom you will find the MSE forum that states you can return the pack within 14 days for cancellation... or to secure the return of any funds on hold, this I also strongly suggest you do, whilst you have the choice.

Claiming back mis-sold PPI is not rocket science, you can do this yourself for free whilst keeping everything that's returned from the creditor(s) in question.

Basically you initially need to write to the creditor recorded; stating the reason(s) why you consider the PPI was mis sold, requesting the return of your premiums and any added interest. If you cannot resolve this matter within Eight weeks, you are then entitled to ask the FOS below, to look into your complaint and overturn the creditors decision, should the FOS decide to the contrary in your favour.

As for them being regulated by the Ministry of Justice....that's even more scary. Dr Harold Shipman was regulated by the GMC who's primary duty was to protect the public..... look what happened to his customers.!

    Claims Group Direct PPI claimback

Please could someone help me urgently, I am fast running out of time for the 14 day cancellation deadline. Claims Group Direct contacted me and determined that I may be eligible for claiming back mis-sold PPI. I have given them my card details to pay the £150.00 which becomes due at the end of November (£75 and the end of Dec £75) I was stupid enough to give out those details but they claimed to be regulated by the Ministry of Justice with a 92% success rate.

I have had time to read the small print and check them out on the internet but I can't find any feedback of successful claims but have found some pretty bad complaints.

Is this company legitimate? Has anyone ever heard of any successful claims? Is it normal to need £150 upfront? How do I stop them taking money from my account should I decide not to proceed?

I have been stupid but I really was mis-sold the PPI on quite a few loans over the years so I should be actively pursuing this regardless.

I hope someone can guide me. Thank you
