Re: UK Expats saving in UK

Yes. You certainly need a UK address to open any UK bank savings account. Your options include to either look offshore or use a trusted friend's or relative's address to set things up or to move here for a while to set things up. Once the account has been opened, most banks will keep the account going if you then move overseas.

Another option is to invest in an investment or unit trust that most closely suits your investment wishes.

    UK Expats saving in UK

    Hi,

I am an Expat living in Italy and have a regular pension payment paid into my UK current account. I wish to keep the funds in the UK for say 5 years or so and wish to open an investment vehicle.

I cant seem to find any information on Expats saving in sterling in the UK . I dont have a UK address . All the savings accounts suggested on the website say one has to be a permanent UK resident.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks!
