I am a young driver with a provisional driving licence. We (me and my partner) think to buy a car and I would be named on his policy until I'll pass my exam. Because insurance for a female is cheaper, I was wondering if it's possible to change the name on the policy for only mine when I will hold a full driving licence (after about 4 months after insuring the car)..? Or, at least, swap the names around (me for a main driver and a registered owner)..? There is a huge difference in prices in "Quinn Direct" ..(about 400 pound a year). Many thanks ;)

DO NOT GO WITH QUINN!!!!!!!! They appear cheap but you will end up paying more. If you make any changes, particularly once you have a full driving licence, the premium will go up by a massive amount.

If you do a google for Collingwood Insurance, you will find a month by month policy for provisional/learner drivers.

Then once you have passed your test, you should then shop around for the best deal.
