So long as you are not paying the date with a voucher...!

Assuming you mean for a meal or similar, there is no reason why you can't pay without the date knowing. Not only will they not see the voucher, but they will also be suitably impressed that you never intended them to even see the bill.

    Re: Vouchers

I'm taking my new boyfriend to Alton Towers for the day and i noticed that moneysupermarket had a 2 4 1 voucher - i dont want to come across as cheap, but Alton Towers can be quite expensive. I was just wondering if its exceptable! :-)

Thanks for your advice though mooreaz, i will definately be using it haha

    Re: Vouchers

Credit Crunch times Milli - I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

Also, I would expect (as a chivalrous man) him to offer to pay anyway and be grateful for the voucher!

    So...

If he expects you to pay, use the voucher and be a bit aggrieved that he isn't offering to pay

If he is offering to pay, you can politely off the voucher which he should appreciate

Or, if he is expecting to split it and pay individually, take his cash and send him to the ice cream van while you buy the tickets using the voucher for your half.

Maybe I am too old fashioned...
