A UK bank account cannot be opened without a UK address, not even a joint account. It would be possible to have a second card issued to your credit card in your partner's name though. You should not, of course, be considering these steps unless you can trust your partner.

Setting up a Joint Account with a Non UK Resident

I am trying to find out whether this is possible.

I am a UK resident and have existing UK financial products, like bank account, credit card etc. But my partner lives in Moscow, does not yet have a UK Postal Address or any UK Financial products. However, we want to set up a joint UK Bank Account. I have asked HSBC (they have a Passport account but it can not be joint with a UK resident) NatWest (NO!, very helpful as always), and am wondering if anyone knows of such an account, where we could deposit money from both the UK and Russia, and enjoy the beniefits of a current account?

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.
