Though I don't expect other banks to try the HBOS suicidal "£1/day for a small overdraft" model, I fear this will not be banks first attempt to replace money formerly raised by "unfair" charges.
When HBOS first introduced the Rewards account in February it was an interesting model for customers who chose it for it's £5/month benefits and transparent charging. To force the change on existing presumably reasonably satisfied "small overdraft" customers easily able to switch c/w with overdraft is very strange. I suspect the hand of Lloyds....
