Re: 30 Days Notice - o2 Contract Termination

    Brockers_420:

Not an 18 month contract, what you agreed to was an 18 month minimum term.

Not sure about the notice method. The Terms & Conditions will definately be right, what you were told over the phone about the method and timing may or may not be right.

I never take what I am told at face value.

It's unfortunate that your use only lasted 18 months exactly.

    Later edit:

    é Ò±¬·½»

    éòï ׺ §±« ¿®» ¿ ݱ²«³»® Ý«¬±³»® §±« ³«¬ ½¿´´ Ý«¬±³»® Í»®ª·½» ·º §±« ©·¸ ¬± ¹·ª» ²±¬·½» ¬± ¬»®³·²¿¬» §±«® ß¹®»»³»²¬ò

Sneaky, they used a funny font, but what it says at Paragraph 7 of the General Conditions is to call Customer Services if you want to cancel.

(unless you are a business customer)

Possibly you have been told a porky (though it doesn't say that CS can't then tell you to write). Will leave that fight up to you.

    30 Days Notice - o2 Contract Termination

    Hi all,

I took out an 18 month contract with o2 over 18 months ago. I called them today to try and cancel it but they make it so difficult for consumers.

MUST do it in writing - WHY?? It can be done just as easily over the phone.

30 days notice - Am I still bound by this since the contract I agreed to should be finished by the 18th month? This means I will be paying a further £35 to a phone that I will no longer be using.

    Thanks
